About the Arkansas market
Arkansas is the least expensive venue market we have measured in any state, and it is also one of the most transparent — Little Rock alone publishes more venue prices than several entire states. The two anchors behave unusually: Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas are separated by a trivial amount despite Northwest Arkansas being the faster-growing and wealthier region, so unlike almost everywhere else the primary metro carries no real premium. What Arkansas does have is a deep sub-market below the level most states' data captures, made up of chapels and small ceremony venues, concentrated around Eureka Springs and the Ozarks. Hot Springs is worth separate attention: Garvan Woodland Gardens publishes a fuller rate card than any venue in the state, and it sets the reference price for the whole region.
