11 Best Wedding Venues in Fort Lauderdale & Broward (2026 Guide)
Here is the most useful fact in South Florida wedding planning: Broward County sits directly between Miami and the Palm Beaches, the two most expensive wedding markets in the state, and it is materially cheaper than either. Broward's median published venue starting package is $3,500, against $5,000 in Miami and $10,000 in the Palm Beaches.
Same ocean. Same weather. Same vendor pool, since South Florida photographers, florists, and caterers work across all three counties routinely. Broward has its own international airport, and Fort Lauderdale's beach and Intracoastal waterfront are genuinely lovely. You are giving up the Miami Beach address and very little else.
If your heart is set on South Florida but the Miami numbers are not working, this is the guide to read. Below are the 11 we would point a couple to first. For the statewide picture, see how much a Florida wedding costs and our venue cost by region comparison.
Quick context on Broward venue pricing
Published starting packages here run from $3,141 at the 25th percentile to $4,500 at the 75th, with the median at $3,500. Broward is a market without a deep published luxury tier, which is a large part of why it is affordable: Miami's published market reaches $65,000, Broward's tops out at $30,000 and is thin above $10,000. The exception is the oceanfront resort segment, where pricing behaves like Miami.
Two caveats, stated plainly. Only 7 Broward venues publish a usable package, so treat the median as directional rather than precise; the Palm Beach figure it is compared against rests on just 5. And Broward has a further 11 venues publishing under $1,500, at a median of $600, which are hourly halls and small studio rooms rather than cheaper versions of the venues below. We count those separately, which is why they are not in the median above.
All-in budgets here commonly land in the $28,000 to $45,000 range for 100 to 150 guests, against $55,000 to $90,000 for a comparable Miami Beach wedding.
Waterfront and oceanfront
1. Sun Dream Yacht Charters (Fort Lauderdale)
Private yacht weddings on the Intracoastal Waterway, family-owned since 1979, with gourmet onboard catering and a dedicated wedding coordinator. The venue is completely private by definition, and the guest capacity range is remarkable for a boat. Pricing context: by request; their brunch cruises run $99 to $129 per person as a reference point for onboard catering. Best for: couples who want a genuinely different venue and a captive, celebratory guest experience. Capacity: 16 to 516.
2. The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale)
A luxury oceanfront resort with a Grand Ballroom, the Astor Ballroom, and a seventh-floor pool deck overlooking the Atlantic. This is Broward's answer to Miami Beach, and it is priced accordingly, but it remains the county's premier full-service address. Best for: formal oceanfront weddings with on-site guest accommodation. Capacity: up to 400.
Ballrooms and full-service venues
3. The Venue Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale)
A 42,000 square foot property with luxurious ballrooms, in-house catering, and comprehensive event services, ranked in the top 5 percent of venues nationally. The package structure is unusually explicit. Pricing context: Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers; Silver covers a four-hour premium bar with appetizers, salad, bread, two entrees, and the wedding cake, with Gold extending to five hours. Best for: large formal weddings where catering and bar are bundled. Capacity: by ballroom.
4. Bonaventure Ballrooms (Weston)
Three state-of-the-art ballrooms in Weston, partnering with vetted catering, DJ, and floral vendors rather than forcing in-house. Best for: couples who want a polished ballroom but their own vendor choices. Capacity: three ballrooms, various.
5. Jacaranda Country Club (Plantation)
An elegant country club with floor-to-ceiling glass ballrooms overlooking lakes and golf course. Notably, they host one event at a time, so you are not sharing the property with another wedding. Best for: classic country-club weddings with guaranteed exclusivity. Capacity: by arrangement.
6. Palm Garden Events (Fort Lauderdale)
A versatile indoor-outdoor venue with three distinct event spaces, lush landscaping, and modern design, flexible from intimate ceremonies to full receptions. Best for: couples who want ceremony, cocktails, and reception in three different settings on one property. Capacity: flexible.
7. Jubilee Ballroom & Banquet Hall (Pembroke Pines)
An all-inclusive venue with in-house catering, music, photography, and floral, positioned at the affordable end of the market. Pricing context: affordable package structure, pricing on request. Best for: one-contract weddings on a tight budget. Capacity: by arrangement.
8. SuiteOne Event Venue (Hollywood)
An elegant indoor space for smaller weddings, with décor, linens, and entertainment amenities included in tiered packages. The clearest small-wedding pricing in the county. Pricing context: packages from $1,400; all-in-one ceremony and reception $5,000; reception only $3,000. Best for: weddings under 60 guests that still want full service. Capacity: up to 60.
Gardens and rustic
9. Living Sculpture Sanctuary (Davie)
An outdoor venue with lush gardens, century-old oaks, waterfalls, and koi ponds, run with an explicitly holistic, environmentally committed approach. One of the most distinctive properties in South Florida. Pricing context: separate winter (October to April) and summer (May to September) rate cards, with a 50 percent deposit to secure a date. Best for: nature-centered ceremonies with genuine mature landscaping. Capacity: up to 170.
10. The White Barn (Southwest Ranches)
A family-owned botanical venue with a fully air-conditioned barn and lush garden spaces. Air-conditioned barns are the only kind worth booking in South Florida between May and October. Best for: rustic weddings that stay comfortable. Capacity: 50 to 200.
11. The Woods Venue (Tamarac)
An established venue with more than two decades of experience, offering an elegant space in central Broward. Best for: straightforward, well-run weddings without a destination premium. Capacity: by arrangement.
Two things to check before you book in Broward
Compare the total, not the site fee. Broward's advantage disappears if you book an oceanfront resort with a Miami-style food and beverage minimum. The county's value lives in its independent ballrooms, garden venues, and country clubs, where outside catering is often allowed.
Beach ceremonies need a permit. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, and Deerfield Beach each run their own permitting process with different rules on chairs, arches, and guest counts. See our Florida beach wedding permit guide.
